Glimpse inside of best Coles in Moonee Ponds, Melbourne
A social media user has taken her followers on a tour of what she says is the “best supermarket in Australia”, where customers can do everything from getting a freshly made pizza to mixing their own laundry detergent – all while the smell of fresh pita bread and coffee lingers in the air.
The woman, who runs the Top Things To Do in Melbourne TikTok account, shared a glimpse inside the Coles store in Moonee Pond, Melbourne, while challenging followers to see if their local store could top it.
“Welcome to Australia’s best supermarket – the first thing I found were macarons and mochi bars,” the woman said.
She said there were also coffee machines featuring both cow’s milk and almond milk for customers to enjoy.

“They also have a Roll’d inside – just in case of starving shoppers. There are also fresh pies and pizzas,” the woman said.
She also revealed fresh pita bread was baked in store, a wide selection of nuts were available and there was even a dedicated staff member to cut fruit and vegetables for customers.
The woman added there was also a pick and mix section for plant-based seeds, meaning customers didn’t have to buy a whole packet if they just needed a handful.
“The highlight of this supermarket is this pet food aisle, which is incredible. Just like with nuts you can pick and choose what you want to buy for your pet,” she said.
There were even laundry detergent machines that allow people to make their perfect mix, as well as a machine to check blood pressure.
Social media users were in awe at the store – while also expressing disappointment that their local store didn’t have the same features.
“I think this is what they’re doing with the Coles at Knox City. Apparently they’re getting a juicer so you can make your own orange juice too,” one said.
